The next day almost the whole village were talking about them. At home, the
air was thick with
curiosity and speculation.
Chika sat at the dining
table, her mind racing as
she listened to her
parents discuss the
events of the previous
night. She felt guilty at that moment remembering what happened last night While Ada was watching videos on her phone while Chika entered Ada's room and put a fake smile asking her if she has Max's number. Ada was apologising to Max for what happened last night but he didn't reply.Taking a deep breath,
Chika carefully reached
over and gently placed
Ada's hand on the
fingerprint sensor, hoping
that luck was on her
side. To her surprise, the
phone unlocked with a
soft beep. A rush of
adrenaline surged through
her as she scrolled
through the contacts, her
fingers trembling slightly.
Just as she located
Max's number, she heard
Ada's voice cut through
the silence. “Chika?
What are you doing?”
Startled, Chika froze, her
heart racing. She turned
slowly to see Ada.
